As President and owner, Christopher has managed AJW for the past sixteen years and worked there for 23 years. Over the last decade under his leadership, AJW has pioneered the concept of power-by-the-hour alongside its traditional component supply business and has expanded its operations throughout the world. A true aviation professional, Christopher has experience in aircraft sales, charter, maintenance and lease programmes. He has an unrivalled knowledge of this industry sector and an extensive network of valuable relationships.

After graduating from Reading with a degree in Business and Economics, Boris joined AJW as a team member of the Sales Department. He progressed quickly into the role of Divisional Sales Manager and further to the position of Commercial Director. He was appointed Chief Executive of AJW in 2009. His role as Chief Executive is to continue the impressive annual double-digit growth of the business and ensure continued flexibility and outstanding service for AJW customers. In 2012 Boris won the UK Institute of Directors Young Director of the Year Award.

With over 20 years experience in aviation Conrad worked for Flightspares and the BBA Group before joining AJW as Commercial & Contracts Manager in 2004. As MRO Director Conrad is now responsible for the total repair management service at AJW which supports both AJW and direct customer inventories. This department has developed significantly under his tenure and is now able to offer a range of world class support services.

Andy has worked at AJW for over 22 years. He is responsible for managing a range of departments including Stores, Logistics, Inspection, Quarantine, Quality, IT, HR and Health & Safety. He also oversees AJW’s highly regarded 24/7 AOG service. Andy is a Member of the Institute of Logistics and Transport (MILT) with Qualified knowledge and accountability of Hazardous Goods Regulations, IATA and ICAO. His focus is on introducing technologies and operational systems to maintain and develop a lean and competitive business. He is helping to drive the business forward using technology and lean processing and by continuing to ensure delivery of the right package to the right location at the right time, every time.

Andy has been with AJW for nearly 25 years. With a background in industrial sales he has been involved in spare parts sales, customer service and purchasing during his time with the company. Andy is now responsible for all customer service activities including ad hoc business sales and power-by-the-hour customer relationships.


David Brown David Brown

David Brown has worked in aviation for 20 years, initially involved in the design and development of corporate aircraft interiors for supply to Heads of State and European industrialists. During the mid 1990’s he was responsible for the investment, design and development of the world’s only aircraft approved infant safety seat. He has been with AJW for 12 years and holds particular expertise in Africa, Central Asia and the Middle East.

With more than thirty years experience in the industry and an MBA from the University of Bath, Andy joined AJW from Reed Exhibitions’ Aerospace & Aviation Group, where he was Global Development Director. He has also worked in senior aftermarket management roles at AlliedSignal/NGL and TRW/Lucas Aerospace. Andy combines the activities of communications, marketing services and sales management and is responsible for the development and growth of AJW’s business presence within the global marketplace.

Ian joined AJW in 2011 after eleven years in investment banking, having financed several billion dollars worth of assets across the globe.  He is responsible for managing AJW's funding relationships as well as for financial planning, analysis and corporate development.  Prior to joining AJW he worked for the Seabury Group, opening their Hong Kong office in 2008.  Ian also spent eight years with the Allco Finance Group having joined them from KPMG.  Ian has a JD from New York Law School and a BA from Middlebury College.

John joined AJW in April 2009 and has 40 years experience in the industry including 29 years with British Airways. He is an MBA qualified engineering professional, who brings significant knowledge and understanding of inventory management within an operational environment to AJW. John is helping to tailor AJW commercial and logistical services to offer even more competitive proposals to the market place.

Nick joined AJW in late 2010 from SR Technics, formerly FLS Aerospace, where he spent 15 years building up a strong knowledge base in the aviation industry.  Nick spent 6 years in a leadership role at SRT and has extensive experience in project management, bringing a high level of expertise in communication, versatility and teamwork to AJW.  As the Director of Contract Services, Nick is responsible for all post-contract integration and for monitoring existing contract performance and renewal.

Colin joined AJW in 2011 in the position of Director of Contract Services, working alongside John Avery, Director of Supply Chain Services in a newly reorganised and strengthened Commercial Department.  Colin has worked in the industry for over 30 years and he has held a number of senior positions in all aspects of component and material supply, commercial, account management, purchasing, logistics and workshop production.  He was latterly VP Account Management, Component Services for the SR Technics Group.  Colin is responsible for all pre-contract commercial activities across all AJW business divisions.  This role complements that of Nick Price whose focus is on post-contract and contract review commercial activities.

With over 16 years of aircraft engineering experience, Deepak has been with AJW for over 3 years and he has been instrumental in building up the Technical Department required to service the Company’s increasing portfolio of contracted customers.  Deepak began his career with Brymon Airways Engineering, a subsidiary of BA, and worked his way up to Engineering Director of UK International Airlines. Deepak holds a number of relevant technical qualifications including a City & Guilds London Aeronautical Engineering Competence Mechanical System award, a Masters in Aerospace Systems Engineering and a European Aviation Safety Agency EASA Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s License.

Having worked for six of aviation’s most successful companies, Steve joined A J Walter Aviation in January 2011 as the Director of Engine Services. Steve began his working life in the industry as an apprentice at British Airways Engine Overhaul Ltd; 18 years later he was awarded a diploma from the Institute of Industrial Managers from the University of Wales. As the newest sector of AJW unfolds under Steve’s directorship, he brings over 30 years of experience and extensive expertise to the Engines division.
