AJW AVIATION EXTENDS PBH SUPPORT FOR ASTRAEUS FLEET

UK based, independent airline, Astraeus has added a further B757-200 aircraft to its existing Power-By-the-Hour contract with A J Walter Aviation, the complete aircraft support specialist. AJW continues to support the Astraeus fleet of five B757 and two B737NG aircraft. AJW has provided PBH support to Astraeus since its launch in 2002.

Astraeus is based in Crawley near its main centre of operation, Gatwick airport. In May 2008 the airline changed its business model and ceased full time charter and schedule service flying to concentrate on sub lease activities, providing aircraft and crews to other airlines on an ACMI and dry leasing basis. During this year Astraeus will expand further with new contracts to supply aircraft in Bournemouth, UK and in Italy.

AJW is well positioned to fully support Astraeus from its UK base with core inventory and full repair management services situated close to Gatwick airport. AJW also holds strategic inventories in Singapore, Dubai, Central Europe and in North America. AJW continues to develop its support for customers across Europe with a range of tailored, flexible and competitively priced services.

With over 350 aircraft under contract and over 150 aircraft on PBH worldwide, AJW has substantial purchasing power across its preferred supplier network and, with its comprehensive inventories, is able to offer guaranteed availability 24/7 for an extensive range of components and accessories across most ATA Chapters.
