Vivaaerobus, mexico's ultra low cost carrier, chooses A J WALTER AVIATION to provide component power-by-the-hour support for its rapidly growing fleet of b737-300 aircraft

Miami, April 13th 2011:   Mexican based low-cost airline VivaAerobus, established in association with Irelandia the global investor and developer of low-cost airlines, has chosen A J Walter Aviation, the world’s leading independent component support specialist, to provide component power-by-the-hour support for its current fleet of fifteen B737-300 aircraft.

VivaAerobus is a market leading low fares carrier with plans to rapidly grow its fleet to at least thirty aircraft by 2013.  The airline currently flies 58 national and 2 international routes, including destinations such as Las Vegas and Houston.   Its operative strategy generates important savings to passengers as it offers the lowest fares in the industry and in its four years of operations, VivaAerobus has transported over 7 million passengers.

Juan Carlos Zuazua, CEO of VivaAerobus, comments. “We have been impressed by both the AJW team and the commercial flexibility of the proposal we received.  We are confident that we will receive a world class support service from AJW to ensure the punctuality and on-time performance of our airline fleet”.

AJW will support these aircraft from its Miami based operation which comprises significant service ready Boeing component inventories.  AJW has recently invested more than US$25m in inventory to support an increasing number of operators and MRO facilities across the Americas, including a significant A320/A330 capability out of its hub in Los Angeles.  “We are stepping up our activities in North America and already support several airlines with lease, pooling and PBH solutions” says Boris Wolstenholme, Chief Executive.  “We are delighted to be supporting VivaAerobus in its plans to vigorously develop a low cost route network and we will do everything we can to help the airline meet its objectives”.

AJW’s new contract with VivaAerobus once again underlines the outstanding value for money and excellent customer service that is embodied within AJW PBH support contracts.  These support contracts offer wide and flexible component coverage; expert advice and recommendations on minimising home base stock requirements; and world class logistics, including AJW’s highly regarded 24/7 AOG service. Serving a global base of more than 700 airlines with over 350 aircraft under contract, AJW is the ideal partner for airlines and MRO organisations requiring fully integrated support solutions and seeking to achieve competitive advantage.
