NEW GLOBAL HEADQUARTERS AND LOGISTICS CENTRE FOR A J WALTER AVIATION Accommodating a successful growth programme means gearing up for more staff and providing warehouse capacity to house additional inventories to service new customers and develop new engine and consumable spares divisions. A J Walter Aviation has acquired a new site for the development of a significant global HQ and logistics centre close to Gatwick Airport in the UK. The site is on a footprint of over 60 acres and will initially provide over 175,000 square feet of purpose-built office and storage facilities for AJW’s extensive range of Airbus and Boeing components, engines and consumables. It will provide a first class experience for visitors and employees will benefit from modern, streamlined and efficient office layouts, a training ‘theatre’, on-site catering and restaurant, as well as outstanding sports and leisure facilities.AJW’s continuing success has recently led to the doubling of warehouse capacity in Singapore and the commissioning of new sales and customer service offices in Miami and Merthyr Tydfil, Wales. The Company is already set to chart another record-breaking year in 2011 and now holds significant inventories around the globe, across the UK and Europe as well as in Singapore, Dubai, Miami and Los Angeles. “We are spearheading a global strategy designed to deliver exponential growth for the business” says Christopher Whiteside, President of A J Walter Aviation. “ We have increased our range of services, strengthened our team worldwide, and we are investing heavily in technology that delivers improved management systems to support this growth.
